WARBIRDS OF GLORY MUSEUM
Brighton, Michigan - 48114  ARTS & CULTURE
The Warbirds of Glory Museum, founded in April of 2013, is an organization dedicated to the preservation of historical aircraft and WWII memorabilia to preserve it for future generations to READ MORE come.

An 8-year-old boy had a passion for B-25 Mitchell Bombers, some say he was genetically dispositioned to love aviation and its history. Building models and catching airplane rides at the local airport were only the tip of the iceberg when nurturing his desire to be part of the aviation world. This young boy was Patrick Mihalek, founder of The Warbirds of Glory Museum, who made his young dream a reality in July 2013, at the age of 29.

In July 2013, a team of volunteers, led by Patrick and his dear friend Todd Trainor, journeyed to Alaska to resurrect a B-25 Mitchell Bomber from a sand bar near Fairbanks. This bomber was nicknamed by the locals as Sandbar Mitchell, and became the core entity of the dream restoration project for the museum and it’s youth mentorship program. There was a time when Sandbar Mitchell graced the skies and this project will revive her to flight worthy status in the next 10 years.
Be a part of this restoration project and keep WWII history alive! Let’s get Sandbar Mitchell off the ground and flying in the skies, to honor of our veterans. The Warbirds of Glory Museum is a 501c3 public non-profit organization.
